The Ecuadorian Amazon basin offers one of the last frontiers of exploratory kayaking in the world. Our quest to discover and explore the rivers in this rich area has been an on-going pursuit. Since 1994, members of our team have been instrumental in finding, accessing, paddling, and documenting the best new rivers in Ecuador.

Oil and mining development, hydro power development, deforestation, uncontrolled growth and colonization, inadequate waste management, and unsustainable agricultural practices all threaten the integrity of these outstanding watershed resources.

Time is of the essence to document the hidden wonders of this land and promote real protection for these special resources. A complete guide to the rivers in Ecuador is in the works.
