BUSES: QUITO - BAEZA - TENA
All buses depart from the Terminal Quitumbe (Main Bus Terminal) in Quito. Allow 45 - 60 minutes travel time by Taxi from the Mariscal tourist district to the Terminal Quitumbe. A taxi to Quitumbe Bus Terminal from Quito costs approximately USD $12.
After leaving the Terminal Quitumbe the buses pass by the bus stop "Parada Santa Maria" in Tumbaco (60-90 min after departure); You can catch the buses there, but seating is subject to availability unless you purchase a ticket from the Quitumbe Bus Terminal in advance. Transportes Banos has an office in Tumbaco located east of the Santa Maria Supermarket, in front of the El Dorado gas station (see schedule below for details).
Bus fare from Quito to Tena is now USD $8.00
Total travel time Quito - Tena is approx. 5 hours. (Quito - Baeza is 2.5 hours)
